Something's Gotta Give Storyline

Harry Langer (Nicholson) is an aged music industry exec with a fondness for younger women like Marin (Peet), his latest trophy girlfriend. Things get a little awkward when Harry suffers a heart attack at the home of Marin's mother Erica (Keaton). Left in the care of Erica and his doctor (Reeves), a love triangle starts to take shape.

Jack Nicholson actually sings the song "La Vie En Rose" during the ending credits.
Twentieth Century Fox declined making the film citing that the leads were too old.
The title of the movie is from a 1954 song written by 'Johnny Mercer' (qv). As a tribute, 'Keanu Reeves' (qv)' character is named Julian Mercer.
The first trailer included footage of Harry and a gorgeous woman walking through a restaurant comparing his life with those sitting there.
Composer Alan Silvestri wrote an original score for the film, but was replaced by Hans Zimmer after creative differences with Director Nancy Meyers.

Something's Gotta Give plot

A young man plays a doctor caring for a man, who suffers a heart attack at the house of his young girlfriend's mother. While there, the elder man falls in love with the mom. The doctor also finds he has an attraction to her, despite their age difference.
