Just Like Heaven Storyline

Elizabeth Masterson (Reese Witherspoon), a dedicated Doctor in San Francisco, had almost no time for anything. When her sister with two kids set her up on a date, she gets into a tragic car crash and gets in a coma. Meanwhile, an artist named David Abbott (Mark Ruffalo) moves into San Francisco and coincidentally, into Elizabeth's apartment for rent. While at the apartment, Elizabeth's spirit haunts him. She doesn't remember who she is, who her family is, and what she did - All that she remembered was her apartment and where everything was. To settle the arguments, Dacid agrees to figure out who Elizabeth really is. When they get close to figuring out who she is, they eventually find love in each other and as they finally know who she really is, they learn that fate really has put them both together.

Just Like Heaven goofs

PLOT: Lizzie is supposed to be a transparent spirit, but she gives off shadows in the early scenes on the roof and in the street.
CONT: When Dave gets out of the shower, he picks up his beer and looks in the mirror. After he is startled, it shows the beer back on the sink.
FAKE: In the scene on the rooftop right after David turns down the sexy neighbor's advances, it is apparent that green screen technology is being used. There is a green halo around David and Elizabeth's right hand has a green reflection.
CONT: When David is speaking with the realtor on his cell phone, the antenna is alternately up/down between shots.
CONT: Near the beginning when Abby and Elizabeth are talking on the phone, Abby puts a wooden spoon down by the sink. In the next shot it's on the other side of the sink.

Just Like Heaven plot

Elizabeth Masterson is a doctor with a life of work, devoid of joy. But when an accident renders her into a spirit, Elizabeth may be forced to live something she has avoided: downtime. However, with her no longer occupying her apartment, it's been given to David Abbott, a good guy but a lonely landscape artist who has caught the ire of Elizabeth. She haunts him as a bitter spirit. She's not willing to give up her place to David, and he's not going to back down from his new home. But as these two continually fight, they might just be attracted to each other.
