Pride & Prejudice Storyline

The story is based on Jane Austen's novel about five sisters - Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty and Lydia Bennet - in Georgian England. Their lives are turned upside down when a wealthy young man (Mr. Bingley) and his best friend (Mr. Darcy) arrive in their neighborhood.

Pride & Prejudice goofs

CONT: At the dinner in Lady Catherine's house, the second candle from the left on the candle holder is alternately crooked/straight during Elizabeth and Lady Catherine's conversation.
FAIR: At the very beginning of the movie, the sun is half way up in the sky, as though early morning, yet when they show Mary playing inside Longbourn, it is low in the sky as though late in the afternoon. In the commentary the director explains that the change in the lighting is meant to indicate the passing of time.
SYNC: When Mrs. Bennet's sister comes, delivering Jane from London, Kitty comes into the room crying. When Mrs. Bennet's sister says, "They probably can't afford it," her mouth is still moving after the line has ended.
CONT: When Mr. Darcy helps Lizzie into the carriage, the hand shot shows her in the process of sitting down, but the next cut shows her still standing.
CONT: When Mr Darcy confesses his love for Elizabeth, both characters' fringes change position throughout the confrontation.
